For women-

I hired Eco Movers for a short local move and had a deeply uncomfortable and disappointing experience.

The most concerning part of the move was the on-site conduct. While I was alone in the home, three male movers cornered me alone upstairs and repeatedly asked me personal questions about my relationship status, whether I planned to stay with my boyfriend, and other unrelated topics concerning my income and saying "you must be rich". These conversations were not connected to the job and made me feel cornered and uncomfortable in my own home.

When I raised this concern with the company afterward, they stated that their internal review did not find inappropriate conduct based on the male employee statements.

If you scroll on their yelp, I found other women saying the same thing with statements that the company found no wrongdoing.

My two bedroom move, ten minutes distance, cost over 2,000$.

The move exceeded the estimated time and the final cost increased accordingly. The estimate was non-binding and allows up to 25% over the quoted amount, the way the time accumulated was concerning.

Crew members took extended breaks lasting approximately 20-30 minutes, despite standard 10-minute rest periods. The company later acknowledged that break time had been mistakenly billed and offered a refund of approximately $88, which does not meaningfully reflect the additional labor time that was billed and the damaged pieces of furniture.

Items were wrapped that I had specifically declined wrapping for, including low-value items like a decorative artificial plant. This added significant time to the move.

Several pieces of solid wood furniture (from the 1970s) were damaged. Table legs were removed and not properly reassembled, hardware was left loose, and pieces were left unstable. Screws and nails were left in my carpet after the move, creating a safety hazard. It felt like "hide and seek" trying to locate loose hardware, displaced items, and missing components. I am still discovering items that are missing or not in their original condition.

Some property was temporarily left on the truck and required repeated follow-up to retrieve. The movers mentioned throughout this also were calling me off their personal phones about it and I had to threaten local law enforcement to get my items back

Additionally, crew members were smoking next to the open truck while my upholstered furniture was inside. I have photos documenting this, although the same employees denied this also. They also, like other reviews, left the bathroom in disarray.

After reviewing the company's Better Business Bureau page, I noticed other customers reporting similar billing patterns involving the 25% estimate threshold. While I cannot speak to those situations, it raised concerns for me given my own experience.

Between the uncomfortable interactions, extended billing, minimal refund offered, damaged furniture, missing items, and loose hardware left behind, this was not a professional or reassuring experience

Great for a local move

Boris, Garret, and Mason helped us with our local move and were courteous and efficient. The entire four bedroom house was done in a day with a single truck load. The estimate was accurate and none of our belongings were broken, including electronics and a glass coffee table

Long-distance move from Maryland to Arizona

Do Not Use Ecomovers-please Read!!

My fiancee and I moved from Maryland to Arizona.  I've never posted a review before, but thought it was important to share our experience.  The entire process with EcoMovers was a nightmare: 1. SEXUAL HARRASMENT:   The mover arrived by himself (I was at work at the time, unfortunately).  The mover asked my fiancee if she was single, insisted on hugs (plural - in a jokey but 'not-taking-no-for-an-answer' kind of way), and made explicit remarks to her; they were offensive enough so that she felt compelled to wait in the bathroom while he packed in order to get away from his inappropriate behavior.  I spoke with management at EcoMovers regarding this issue - this is a serious charge.  Their reaction regarding the harassing behavior by their employee was very straightforward: they spoke to me "man on man" (in their words), and in their strong accent they told me they didn't believe a word I said!   2. OVERCHARGE:  The estimate for moving half a studio's worth of things was $1300.  The final price was over $3000.  An extra $770 was added to the charge on the spot.  I will spare you the math, but this was an inordinate charge (for the estimate they used cubic feet, while onsite they used the number of items to determine the charge - quite a trick!).   3. FOR LONG MOVES, THEY ONLY DRIVE 18-WHEELERS, WHICH DON'T FIT INTO PARKING LOTS:  They arrived to the destination 21 days later, in a 18-wheeler semi-truck.  The truck did not fit into the apartment complex parking lot.  For this reason an extra $450 was charged (on the spot) in order to walk the furniture from the street to the interior of the complex.  We were told they only use 18 wheelers for long distance moves.  **If you're moving to a complex, or even a narrow street, it is likely you will also pay this extra fee** - **this fee increases drastically if you are moving anything more than a small studio.**  I know this company generally has good reviews.  I don't know how to explain the discrepancy between out experience and others', I can only share our experience.  There are *lots* of highly rated moving companies out there.   **   DON'T TAKE A CHANCE - GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!!  **.

Please read…this company must be stopped!

If I could put 0 stars I would. Unfortunately, Eco Movers turned out to be the worst company that I could have chosen. Please PLEASE..PLEASE do not use this company. It's a huge money pit. They were late upon arrival to get my things and late to deliver my things. They held my items hostage by not delivering my things till 21 days later (this is in the contract in small print that you sign that they have up to 21 days) even though when hiring them for service they are very nice and ask what day you would like for delivery they don't abide by that DATE. They also managed to charge $2500 more in addition to the original agreed quote once they come to get your stuff. I had to plead and call them every day asking..begging for my things. When they finally showed up they asked for more money from me and they forged added items to my contract that was signed previously which did not match my copy of the contract that was originally signed then proceeded to ask for cash only. When I called customer service to dispute this with the manager he said  "You don't have a choice really do you? If you want your things." I BEG YOU PLEASE DON'T GO WITH ECO MOVERS IN ANY LOCATION. THEY HAVE SEVERAL LOCATIONS IN WHICH THEY OUT SOURCE TO PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT CERTIFIED MOVERS TO SAVE ON COST. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE THEY CAN'T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR THINGS.    ** ECO MOVERS GETS  0 STARS.

WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER

This company quoted me 6 hours and $800 something dollars but took 8.5 hours to move my 1 bedroom apartment into a truck, charged me $1,300 and kept all my belongings in their truck overnight. Josh moves one item at a time. I’m in average shape and moved things at 5x the speed as these incompetent employees. They show up the next day and quote me an additional $219/hour at a 5.5 hour estimate. My previous moving company took 3.5 totals including the drive. This company is 14 hours?!!!? I ended up carrying my own stuff in while they lallygagged. I don’t know how this moving company has good reviews. I’ve had the worst experience. They are not worth what they charge. They aren’t worth anything. You will have a better experience hiring someone’s nanna. Also, they didn’t bring tools to assemble my bed back together at the new location. I have nothing good to say about this company. I would give them negative stars.
